Venture capital and project finance for infrastructure and industrial projects

Allied Mortgage and Securities have working relationships with specialist groups of funder/investors who are prepared to consider the provision of traditional venture capital for projects that are recommended by our Executive Officers.

The venture capital funder/investors with whom we deal will consider recommended transactions and/or proposals from US$25m to US$4bn.

All proposed transactions are initially processed by our Senior Executives in lending. Upon such matters successfully passing examination and our procedures and protocols, these may be recommended to our Treasury Operations for further consideration and review. Eventually, the proposals are re-examined and reviewed by our Directors and where appropriate are delivered to the capital/participants for their consideration.

Some of the projects which have been considered (since 1969) have involved rail infrastructure, ports, airports, energy (oil, gas, renewables) and facilities, iron ore mining, manufacturing and processing, humanitarian and health facilities.

Generally, and as a guideline only, venture capital is supplied directly to the client and is provided in a draw-down and/or tranche schedule as agreed by the investment/participation agreements. An equity position in the clients' project and/or the vehicle company whic is being utilised for the transaction.

It is to be noted that all transactions, opportunities and or applications are treated on a case-by-case basis and accordingly the protocols required and procedures utilised may vary.
